We have a brand new year ahead of us, full of opportunity and potential.
A fresh, blank canvas is staring at you. What will you put on that canvas this year? I didn’t say what others will put on it or what “life” will put on it, but what will YOU put on it?
Here’s a more direct question for you: what are your 3 BIG GOALS for 2014?
You need 3 big goals.
Why do you need 3 big goals? Because all of us need to be challenged to break the patterns that keep us safely contained within our status quo existence.
Now, you may feel that your particular status quo may be “good enough”. Maybe it is—you’re the ultimate judge of that. If so, read no further, and enjoy your 2014.
For the rest of us, there are new heights to be attained, new paths to be explored, and areas of life for us to improve and develop.
Having 3 big goals will call us forth into taking the necessary action to “reach higher”.
Getting better and growing stronger, whatever that means for you, never happens by accident. You don’t suddenly wake up one morning in outstanding shape, fit and trim, if you went to bed the night before horribly out of shape and overweight.
Great results come from consistent, bold actions. These actions come from smart plans. These smart plans come from big goals.
So what are your 3 big goals for 2014?
You’ll know they’re big if they have a sizeable impact in your life, if they make a difference that makes a difference. Think “game-changing” results.
Think of an asteroid hitting the earth—it shakes the ground and leaves a deep and wide crater. Shoot for 3 goals that do this in your life, and you’ll be on the right track.
I want you to write these goals down. And, I want you to see them everyday. Put them as your screen-saver. Put them on a sticky note next to your computer. Write them on an index card and put it in your pocket. Whatever suits you. Just see them often, until you digest them and they become part of your DNA.

Let’s all “win” in 2014!
